20ft ISO tank containers can be transported by truck (road), train (rail) and ship (sea). Their measurements are the same as a standard 20ft box container. The minimum capacity of an ISO tank container is 13.000 liter and the maximum capacity is 26.000 liter. Standard ISO tank container capacity is between 24.000 liter and 26.000 liter.
Swap Body tank containers are ideal for intermodal transport by truck and by train. Being longer and wider makes these swap body tank containers not suitable for deep sea container traffic. With capacities typically between 30.000 liter and 35.000 liter, Swap Body tank containers have higher payloads than 20ft ISO tank containers. Swap Body tank containers often come with baffles plates which allow for partial loading increasing operational flexibility and efficiency.
